GRANTS
It
is the intent of the Holliston Education Foundation to fund grant
requests that support and enhance the curriculum of the Holliston
Public Schools. We will direct all grant
requests through the School Councils of each educational
facility. Grants will be facilitated by the said councils and
submitted to the Holliston Education Foundation for consideration.
To this end, we have provided the following guidelines to direct
applicants through our grant process.
|
|
|
- We desire to fund grants that have direct connections to the learning based standards, curriculum, and school improvement plans of the individual educational facilities.
- Where appropriate requests should be coordinated through grade captains, curriculum coordinators, department heads, and media centers. This allows for continuity within grades and departments, as well as compatibility with existing programs and realization of need.
- Requests for technology enhancements, hardware and software must be coordinated through the Director of School Technology. All technology grant requests must be verified and initialed by the said director to ensure system compatibility and need within the designated facility.
- We desire to fund a grant request that benefits the largest majority of students wherever that is appropriate.
- All items and or programs purchased and funds appropriated to you on behalf of the grant request are the property of the Holliston Public Schools and not of the grant recipient. All purchases and or orders of appropriated grants must be realized within six (6) months of grant approval or funds will revert back to the Holliston Education Foundation.
- The following items will not be considered: furniture, office supplies, window and floor coverings, office equipment, maintenance agreements, and stationary.
